Fun and friends at the Getty Villa in Malibu...

It's been awhile since I last updated, but I should be able to get back to updating regularly now. I spent the last month withdrawing from school and moving down to Los Angeles in the hopes of getting my career started. So far I think things are going pretty well, but we'll see how I'm doing in a few months before I declare my transition a success. In the meanwhile, I went to the new Getty Villa in Malibu last week. Pictures are posted below and I've got a few more that I'll be posting shortly. I also have some images from my girlfriend's birthday bash at The Big Foot Lodge that I'll be posting pretty soon as well. Other than that, it's just been a lot of unpacking, getting used to the new neighbor hood and looking for work. I'll be sure to keep up with this as much as possible now that I'm pretty much settled in at my new apartment. Til the next post...

Here, Yeni discusses her attempts to recreate ancient Grecian art with a chalk crayon.

Brandon cuts in front of me while, Yeni and Sayaka walk down the left side, toward the exit.

Sayaka works diligently on her Grecian pottery art with a dry-erase marker.

Here's a couple more from the shoot I did a couple days ago. I really like how some of these images came out. It was pretty fun shoot and good for the portfolio because I don't shoot guys very often. I was trying to find an environment with plenty of "urban debris" to create a cool background. It would have been much easier had I done this shoot in L. A. because everything there is urban debris! ;) So, I ended up using this tiny junk pile next a building just off the main tourist drag in downtown Santa Barbara. I think it worked out pretty well though, despite my lack of junk!

Another fashion shoot, this time in downtown Santa Barbara, Calif. with a guy named Alex who I met on ModelMayhem.com

One more shot from the street fashion shoot and no more, I promise.

More shots from my streetside fashion shoot on Saturday night.

These images are from a fashion shoot I did on Saturday. I'll try to post some more of these in the next few days.

More shots from the previously mentioned studio session.

Some shots from recent studio session with my friend/model Joanne. The idea was to create solid, full body silhouettes on a white backdrop. I like the way the silhouettes came out, but I also really liked these outtakes. I've been real busy lately, but stay tuned; more images are on the way!

Some new stuff. Nothing special just some recent images I shot for class.

Need a Light?

The man is always on my back! ;-)
Preparing for an early morning launch.

Minding the prop-arc (the area underneath the rotating propeller blades).

Afternoon on the flightdeck.

I've been working on some old navy stuff for the website lately. I really like some of these pictures, but I've never really done much with them. Alot of my navy work has been published in some form or another, but I don't always know when something's been used. I've got such a backlog of images from my 5 years in the navy that I'll probably be posting the occassional old school navy image for the rest of eternity! Okay, maybe not that long, but I definitely have more than a couple. Hope ya'll enjoy 'em.

In the spotlight...

as the record turns...

the music transforms me.

Okay, it's official. My website is up and running now. I still need to add some images and do a little reorganizing on it, but it's 100% functional. The nice thing about it is how easy it is to update. So, I was able to get a website up quick that I can continue to improve on as I get time.

These are a few images that I've been working on for a music themed page on my site. I'm hoping to shoot more for it in the future.
